A book on Aran and gansey knitting had an interesting pattern that called for horizontal cables separating different sections of the sweater. The idea stayed at the back of mind for years, and then, like so many ideas, popped to the forefront, ready to go. I love the soft green, but if there's another color you'd like, let me know.
This roomy, drop-shoulder pullover with rolled neck and sleeves is adorable and easy to knit.
There is minimal finishing: the sleeves are picked up and worked from the shoulder down, so there are only the side seams to finish.
The cable band is worked first and the body is picked up and knitted from the edge of the band.
The yarn is Peaches & Creme 100% unmercerized cotton in worsted weight. This yarn is soft, has a nice hand, and works up quickly at 4sts/1" in stockinette stitch on size 7 needles (needles not included).
The kit contains enough yarn to make the largest sweater and hat plus complete instructions.
